East Elm, Cedar & Bellevue Streets

A popular part of the Gold Coast is the Rush & State dining and nightlife district. To reach this area, cross Division Street and continue walking south on State Street.

As you walk south, you'll pass Chicago Teahouse (1160 N. State). Named Chicago's best tea shop and owned by a Certified Tea Sommelier, Chicago Teahouse is home to over 200 extraordinary teas. Stop in to learn more and experience some of the world's finest teas.

As you continue south, you'll hit Rush Street. Rush Street is the angled street which terminates at State and Cedar Streets. The small triangular park between State and Rush Streets is Mariano Park, which is a fantastic spot to relax and people watch during the warm weather months. This is also a great area to take a break at one of the numerous nearby bars and restaurants.

To the east of the State & Rush area you'll find Elm, Cedar, and Bellevue Streets. Head east down any of these streets to see more of the Gold Coast's beautiful mansions and brownstones at your leisure.

You've completed the Gold Coast Tour! To return to the CTA's Red Line, head back north to Division Street, then west on Division to the Clark Street subway entrance.
