Millennium Park Tour
Audio Introduction

Millennium Park is one of the most popular destinations in Chicago. Opening in 2004 to rave reviews, this 24.5 acre park is one of the great public spaces in Chicago.  Millennium Park features sculptures (including the iconic Cloud Gate -- also known as The Bean), fountains, gardens, and one of the best outdoor concert venues in the United States.

The park hosts hundreds of concerts and events throughout the year, and is the summer home of the Grant Park Orchestra and Chorus. Millennium Park is a place you could spend an hour or several hours, depending on your desire to walk through green spaces or take-in a concert.

Given the proximity to Grant Park, you may want to combine the Millennium Park Tour with the Grant Park Tour. Millennium Park is also connected to Maggie Daley Park via the BP Bridge (which is stop #5 on this tour). Maggie Daley Park, named after ex-Mayor Richard M. Daley's late wife, is a great family space with play areas for children, climbing walls, and a unique ice skating ribbon in the winter -- which turns into a roller skating ribbon in the warm weather months.

For more fun before or after exploring Millennium Park, head to Museum of Illusions Chicago. Located just one block west at 25 E. Washington, this one-of-a-kind edutainment destination lets you immerse yourself in the wonderful world of illusions. Experience more than 80 visual and educational exhibits featuring holograms, stereograms, optical illusions, and immersive rooms. At the Museum of Illusions, nothing is quite as it seems!
