Soldier Field
Near Museum Campus
For football fans of both types (American football and soccer), you may want to see Soldier Field. Soldier Field is the long-time home of the Chicago Bears (professional football team), and, since 2020, the home to the Chicago Fire, Chicago's mens professional soccer club.
Opened in 1924, the stadium's 2002 refurbishment made it look like a spaceship landed on this once proud stadium. It also caused the building to lose its National Historic Landmark status.
Unless you have a ticket for an event, you aren’t likely to enter the stadium, so decide how far you’d like to walk. However, tours of the stadium are provided on select days. Tap the button below for more information.
There is also a veterans memorial on the south side of the stadium. To make sure you sound like a local, the stadium is called Soldier Field -- singular -- not Soldiers Field, a common mistake.
