1700 block of Crilly Court

Retrace your steps back to Wells Street (if you stopped at the Chicago History Museum). Continue walking north on Wells to Eugenie Street. On the northeast corner of Wells and Eugenie (164 - 172 West Eugenie), notice the elaborate Olsen-Hansen row homes which date to 1886. Walk west on Eugenie Street to Crilly Court (north side of street). This unique, secluded one-block street (with row homes on one side and apartments on the other) was developed by Daniel Crilly in 1885. Not only did the developer name the street after himself, he carved the names of his children above the entry doors to the apartment structure.
