Fonz Statue
RiverWalk at E. Wells St.
On the south side of Wells Street you'll see a widening of the RiverWalk. In this small plaza you'll find a statue of Arthur Fonzarelli, aka "The Fonz" or "Fonzie". For those who don't know, Fonzie was a main character in the popular TV series sitcom called "Happy Days", which took place in Milwaukee. The series, which ran from 1974 to 1984, was set in the 1950s, and Fonzie was the coolest (and toughest) guy in town.
The statue stands 5' 6" tall, the true height of Henry Winkler (the actor who played Fonzie), and he's wearing his trademark jeans and leather jacket while holding his familiar thumbs-up pose. This is a popular picture taking spot, so you may need to wait your turn!
When finished with your picture taking, continue walking south along the RiverWalk about 2 blocks until you reach Wisconsin Avenue, the starting point of our tour.
