900 N. Water St.

Walk east on Juneau Avenue, over the river, past Edison Street to North Water Street. Turn right (south) on Water Street and you'll find yourself in the heart of Milwaukee's famous Water Street nightlife district. This is a hopping area at night. If you're getting tired or hungry, this is a good spot to break for some food or drink. Duke's On Water (on the corner of Juneau and Water) is a favorite sports bar among locals with fantastic happy hour specials!

Continue walking south on Water Street, past Highland Avenue to State Street. Turn right (west) on State Street to head back to the river. Cross State Street and re-enter the RiverWalk on the east bank (closest bank) of the river. As you walk south along the RiverWalk you will find yourself in the shadow of the Marcus Center for the Performing Arts.

The Marcus Center for the Performing Arts anchors Milwaukee's Theater District and is home to the Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra, Milwaukee Ballet, Florentine Opera and the First Stage Children's Theater. The plaza outside of the Marcus Center also hosts periodic events throughout the year.

Continue walking south along the RiverWalk, crossing Kilbourn Avenue. The complex to your left is home to the Milwaukee Repertory Theater, with the historic Pabst Theater adjacent and to the west. (Find out more about The Pabst Theater in our East Town Self-Guided Walking Tour.) Together with the Marcus Center for the Performing Arts, these theaters form the heart of Milwaukee's robust cultural and theater scene.

Continuing walking south on the RiverWalk, crossing Wells Street to our next stop...the bronze statue of The Fonz!
